have you ever tried "shape lock" its like modeling clay on steroids when heated with hot water it turns clear and like clay then when it hardens (10min) it turns to an opake white palstic it can be remaelted and grinded and prettyu much anything u can do with normal plastic. So u could just make a mold of the screw and screw and you have yorself a hand made screwdriver

I love the stuff

Just google for a gamebit screwdriver, they aren't expensive, and there are 2 formats (4.5 and 3.8mm), I have both.. I used it to open up my snes, and some nes carts.. I believe the N64 uses the same screws as a snes..

I am sorry if this has already been mentioned, or if you guys just like to make your own..

EDIT: Ok I see, this has been mentioned before, I should read before I post :P Sorry..

This is what I do for the tri-wings in gameboys. Use a really small flat head screwdriver, and put it in one of the the three prongs and push down really hard and turn.  I find it works best to have the gameboy on the floor to do this, so that you can use your body weight to keep the screwdriver from jumping out of the prong you put it in.
For the N64 screws, I've used the melted pen method, it works fine with the right pen, so grab a handful of cheapo' pens out of your desk or something and start experimenting.

woah, with the shape lock thing once you make a part, and your done with a part you made all you do is put it back in water at 150 degrees at take it out again and it's good to go for another part?  Do you have to grind it up?  If you do can you tell me the best/easy way to grind it up?  From what they say on the website it sounds pretty tough!

Xbox uses normal hex screws, any hardware store should have those bits, even Wal-Mart.

Hmm....thats true, but thatd be some fine and precise filing or whatever form we use to do that...and as for the gamecube screwdriver, mine is just a bit too big, so Ill probably use that one if I decide to make a SP one, since you cant un-dremel...dam, I wish there was undo in real life....
well im not sure of the formal name but melt a string of soddering coil into a screw socket if its tight on the screw it should last long enough to get a couple screws out right?
This game taken Its tole on me, Its battery's  have died so many times before....

I used a pen for my gamecube and for the n64. To melt the pen I used a lighter. Also you want to melt the opposite end that you write with. The one with the hard plastic at the back. The best pen would probably be those Bic round sticks. Just make sure you take the ink out pen before melt. For opening the wii and the gameboy color I used a small flat head (standard?). I bought one of those little screw driver kits and i placed it between 2 of the of shoots.
\_/
 |    Kind of like my terrible ascii pic. I tried putting the screwdriver in one of the offshoots but it would come out alot and i was wrecking the screws. My other method i found didn't wreck the screws as bad. There is 2 torx bit sizes for the xbox i think on is 15 and the other 12 or 13. If you really want to improvise or your doing it at like midnight (Sometimes I can't sleep) and your local hardware store isn't open, use a flat head. The best improvising I think though is using a the outside cover of a cd spindal for opening the 360. I tried it it works pretty good.

I made mine recently - documented http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?t=23095

It was to make the smaller screwdriver (open N64 or SNES carts), although same principle for the larger screwdriver.
