I have a really old ds i got it the month it came out,.
 but hinge broke in the fall :(
 glued the one half back together hinge still deosnt work right so i just have it taped together with electrical tape. not pretty but itworks. :)

Metroid, you should show it :P it's still a ds, and it has feelings :D XD. Voices, that design really looks bad assed. Where did you get that design? Surely Gamestop ain't smart enough to have that design :P

I just used trusty old transfer skins. they keep it clean and unscratched, also it still looks half decent. (£3.99)

Just a simple case replacement





Unfortunately it doesn't work now. The power LED lights up for two seconds but then the unit turns off immediately. Neither screen lights up while the LED is on. Oh well. Good thing I bought that DS lite used for cheap. I have to admit the clear case looks fantastic.

Did you try re-fitting the WiFi board? I think that makes it not power on, since it contains the BIOS too.

I think I`m going to plead my dad to let me sand down my ds. I might be a girl but I love doing things like this. I might be able to re-connect the broken hinge and sand it down so that it will look a little bit like a DS lite, but not exactly.



THOSE mods are awesome! Time for me to go mod my ps2.

isnt that caused by the top screen not being connected completely?  try reinserting the ribbon cable

well the led part i can find everywhere. The white R on the black shoulder button i havent seen is it a white trigger painted black or is there a button already like that?

Hey peeps,

Just a quick share of my progress with my little experiment.

Ds Lite = Black and White mix
Turbo switch 22mhz
Red LED Lighting on bottom
DSTT adaptor 2gb micro, (with bit of card)
Mini B charge port
Green felt pads for finger tips (grip)

Accesseries:

Charger for spare battery with mini B port, an with Mini B connector as
used for Backup power for Ds (wen turns to red, both can charge thru Pc)

Large touch pad Slot 2 (12cm x 9cm, 2 x Ds lite lids)

3 Stylus pens

Many spares

Loving everythnig about it, its a good little machine, i like the online game play, WiFi going thru usb as access point. Downloaded many, many games an tried most of um. Homebrew apps are cool, esspecially the JoyDS app, control mouse and environment Cool . Wireless searching are good tools, an i wuld like to know more in the hacking part. its all good stuff.

using the DSTT menu file system = Moonshell, customisable an the like, Plays music very well, videos play like a dream wen converted right. Jpeg pictures show ok, an im sure theres many more u can do with it. If theres any add ons for it gizz a reply.

Well, it is pretty unmodified ( like all my consoles  :eyebrow: ), but it has an R4 Flash Cartridge with 2gb microSD and some Blue Moon theme:

When i see al you guys DS's, i think mine is pretty :censored:  :dntknw: :tup:
