Need help! SIXAXIS Controllers...{NEW MOBO for 2008}
« on: February 05, 2008, 03:03:49 PM »
Most of you kno, I do the SIXAXIS mod for the PS3 Controllers. I sell my services on eBay as well as having people sending me their own controller. I havent sold a brand new controller in a while until someone ordered one from me a couple of days ago. So I went out and bought a new controller. When I took apart the controller, I was like  :faint:

The new SIXAXIS controllers have the same mobo as the DS3, without the vibrating things.... I added the PS button to this newer SIXAXIS controller but now the rubber nub under the PS button had to be cut down. Now the PS button doesnt allow any light through!!!

I looked at a few of my controllers. the sixaxis controllers starting with a number 9 or 1 on the serial is the new model of the SIXAXIS controllers. I sanded down the PS button to get the black paint away and it worked, but now its just a clear button...ERRRR Now I have to find a way to buy the original SIXAXIS controllers in stock...

Ill get pics in a sec

I only buy brand spanken sealed and new controllers. I cant buy a used one from someone. Thats my rules on ebay, they will get a new controller with the box....

It also has to be the original SIXAXIS controllers. like you have to be able to see through the controller under a light...

im sure it will work....

you just have to solder them to the correctt points..

this sucks though. though the controller is more sturdy. and the mobo is designed better. it just limits the lighting mod capability less because of the darkened ps button. Unless i bought a bunch of PS buttons from somwhere, or buy broken sixaxis controllers on ebay just for the PS button...lol

its just that the PS button isnt clear enough. I tried sanding it down but I sanded down the whole button..
Now my PS button is blank...lol

For the PS button just scrape some of the paint off on the bottom, I did it to mine, it works perfectly and I can hardly see it!
