ok i might get this hp. it comes with vista. ive heard alot of bad things about vista and i was wondering if i can swith to xp when i get it. well im gonna see if i like vista first and if i dont i might try to switch to xp. so i was just asking what should i do. heres the pc

vista is just too new and has too many bugs etc.. in it

my dad uses vista too and everytime it is like, he yells my name and says i need some help something isnt working etc..

Vista has been cleaned up lots, but i would still dual boot and see which you prefer.

Vista is soooo much better.Theres constant updates for bugs too,you don't have to worry.I've had vista the past 5-6 months and not a single compatibility problem and not a single bug.It's awesome.

ok how do i dual boot?

and all im doing on my comp is basically email, myspace, movies, music and counter strike and aim

so is vista good for me. im not gonna use like all them damn programs i dont need.

Both are good I'm on vista and when I want to do something that only operates on XP I switch to it (dualboot)

It's really easy to dualboot if you have vista installed 1st because if you install XP after it only boots on XP,then you boot from your Vista installation disk and run the startup repair and then you can dualboot(XP will appear as "earlier version of windows")
Search google for dualbooting with vista and XP there's a good and popular guide.

But vista is perfect for what you do.I do email,music,internet,battlefield,medal of honor,aim,msn, and they all work.vista is fine for ya.

I'v heard alot of bad/good things about both xp and vista. But the bad ones for vista mostly consist of it deleting files/crashing which means byebye all of your saved files..... Personally I love xp, its just a matter of what featurs you like and what risks your going to take..... hope this helps!

i have vista premium (then upgraded to ultimate) on my laptop and xp pro on my desktop. i hate vista so much. its got so much capability problems i wouldnt even dare upgrade my desktop fearing my desktop might morph into a transformer and kick me in the balls. shooting my sound card at my crotch like a missile because the desktop cant use it ne more because its not capable. dont do drugs kids...

. i have one more question i sold my psp to this lady in nigeria and i now know shes a fraud. is there anything i can do to get my psp back. it hasnt reached her yet. i tryed sending an email to paypal but they havent responed . i need all the possible things i can do. so plez help me

u got lucky then. ive had alot of problems with my wireless connection, driver incompatibility for some programs,etc..

go xp. it still has a few bugs but its nothing like vista.

if u buy a pc with vista on it bring it down to xp den u got one serious ass pc!!!!!vista is a resources hog it eats away at ram slowly but surely and eventually BOOM big ass freeze the eacaxxt moment u have just finished a project that was due in for the next day and decided how the rest of your life would go...oh well....hypothecially of course
