If you're saying that because of the 5 finger hold, me and my friend do it all the time.  (We hold all the buttons down right before a note, play the correct note and then proceed to hold them all down again.  It's not terribly hard to do.

All you have to do is hold both the red and green buttons down at the same time while the rest go yellow on, that way you can shift between the 2 hand positions at will.
