PvP's External Antenna USB Add-on
« on: December 10, 2007, 05:45:20 PM »
going thru my pile of junk in my dorm, i came across my old modding notebook that i wrote in a long time ago which i used to doodle alot of my mods on. basically u take a usb port (which u can buy at walmart for 10usd) and a female rf-smc from an old internal wifi card and combine then. u shorten the usb cable all the way to the base of it and wire a male mini usb. its ancient history for me but if ne one finds this interesting give it a shot.

so wait... this would be the same as the usb wifi antenna mod except you would still be able to use the usb port, kinda, right?

can be integrated internally into the psp by removing the umd drive and placing the usb pcb in the umd drive space. then redirecting the direction of the female usb connections outwards thru the umd door.

main thing thats interesting is that it has usb host capabilities which will let the psp become a usb host once connected

your best bet is to make a USB - B passthrough box, that clips ontop, and have the antenna attach, kinda like the Seg Tuner.

Does it work?  :eyebrow:

Have no shame in being kindly and gentle, but if the time comes in the time of your life to kill, kill and have no regret. In the time of your life, live so that, in that wonderous time you shall not add to the misery and sorrow of the world, but shall smile to the infinite delight and mystery of it.
