should i upgrade to x64

i just added another 2gb of ram to my pc totaling 4gbs and its only registering as 2.7gb in os how to fix that or what should i do

if your losing that much ram, upgrade, but beware of compatiblity issues.

xp only can see 3gb so your only loosing .3 and Are you talking about 64 but processor or 64 but OS

I say stay with 32 bit and upgrade to vista then, vista recognizes up to 4GB i believe.

Xp Recognizes upto 4gb too.

All 32 Bit OS's can see upto 4gb of Ram (GPU counts aswell)
Upto Vista Home Pro 64 bit see's 16Gb
Vista Ultimate 64 Bit see's 136Gb

why would you count the Vram? no one need to know that.  it's total of 3GB of real ram. 

and I would stay with a 32 bit system.

Because when you get that high, you turn off V.Ram, as its wasting good ram.

didn't know you could turn Vram off.   does that take away Vram or does it allow you to have more but still allows you to utilize Vram?
