Think outside the 'box'
« on: January 01, 2008, 02:51:37 PM »
Some friends of mine think i am crazy, cause i do what i like, when i want to.
They say you have to act cool and look tuff and all that stuff....why?.....Why do people think you have to do that?

Loads of my friends are something like:

- Rapper
- Rocker
- Skater

I am just...myself, i dont think inside the 'box'...and they think that is stupid.

Could someone explain me why?

phenomenal

I'm going to be famous for a bad reason!

Like blowing something up or making a real bad virus.
Something like that.

But serious, I aim low, that way i dont get dissapointed.

My simple pholosophy.

they think its stupid because they aim for the look of some one popular and they think they will get there too, the Phenom said, most/everyone thinks they will be famous

but they usually are the ones who arent, the people that gain popularity from being theirselves usually get farther

like you, im am myself as much as possible too
but it doesnt work out well either, im always considered things that im not
but it doesnt affect me, i just ignore it till someone goes over then edge and gets a fist to the face

Oh lord deda is loving the cliches recently

"dont pick on the little guy"

"think outside the box"

But although i respect your sense of individuality on yourself deda, that isn't a real example of looking at a situation outside the box. Looking outside the box on a situation is going through a process called lateral thinking to consider a perspective without preconception. Although, yes, it COULD be considered lateral thinking to say "okay, I'm me, that's it" could it not also be said that you are thinking inside the box as you are not considering the world around you in relation to yourself, and thus by relation your friends are more lateral thinkers as they can relate to sub-cultures such as chav's etc by considering there similarity to them to give themselves something to relate to?

The fact that you are an admin is incredibly ironic toward the statement "I do what i want when i want to" because although you were referring to real life context, you are not able to do that here as staff which is what you seem to enjoy reminding people of frequently, so if anything you are trying to choke other peoples chances to show lateral thinking.

Believe me when i say you are not the only person who thinks they are just "them" because millions of people are like that out there, but some of them don't see it as an innovative lifestyle because if anything they have placed themselves within the "Average Joe" category of life.

So in summary, you aren't crazy deda, but just because you think of yourself as yourself, nothing else, does not make you innovative, a lateral thinker, one who considers things "outside the box"

ok fine reaper

ok deda to me them guys can go google them selfs on gghoogle
if they think being cool is sittin there copying the lyrics to some bs rapper named balz e' licky about him his car and his "hoes"
wow they need to get their own life because chances r that they are frickin rediculouse lookin(srry) but there dutch and a gangsta dutch just makes me wanna laugh
i tho wiggas where funny lookin
and half the time the rappers dont even come from the gettho(which comes from the word Venetian Ghetto which was a area of vinnice that jews HAD to live at)
but anyways im fallin off subject here lol

to me its best to be ur self
but if u wanna get anywhere in popular wise then ur just gonna have to go with the crowd

se me at my school
i dont realy fit in either
freshman yr ppl laughed at me for not being with one of the groups(emo punk goth hiphop getto :censored:s prep jocks w/e)and i basicaly said FU!
and guess what
they liek to sit with me now at lunch and they b!tch and complain about how other ppl just dont relise that its best to just be urself..

its best to blend with urself
not the crowd
and so i brough up the whole freshman yr and they basicaly in a nutshell said yea but i didnt relise it untill u told me and i loled hard
s8rs well there weird
there a who section in there own
its liek all the setcions again(s8 rap s8 punk s8 getto s8 emo s8 jocks)

so if i where u just stayurself
and to me if u have read this far into my random bs disscussion
i think its the world that we live in
where everyones trying to be like someone else(AHEM* rappers s8rs getto ppl  goth rock)
in this society ppl want to go with whats now and whats in

i dont think my rammble answered anything
but hey
there ya go lol

irregardless of what genera of music it is its the message thats important and if you would take a second to listen to it before you judge you would realize the message relates to the original topic of the thread.

It's still country, so I call it crap
It's called an opinion, just like I can say I love the song "Changes" by 2pac, even though it's rap.

Also, I hate the fact that most country songs wrap themselves in the topic of love and life rather than branching off.
But I'm going to prevent this thread from going more off topic by doing this...  :faint:
