Re-installing OS

I got a trojan not too long ago and now almost none of my programs work. ive looked everywhere for my original OS cd so i could just re-install everything and my computer would go back to normal but i havent been able to find it so i was thinking that i would probably just buy another OS. I was wondering, i play alot of games and im on the internet alot, what OS would be the best chioce to buy and easiest to use?

well the best OS for games is windows XP, but the best OS is mac osx

best bet for you is XP, i use both, and xp is good for gaming (vista has a lot of issues and has higher hardware requirements)
