Counter-Strike Source Suggested Video card?

Hey,

I'm just wondering, since CS:S did not work on my old Toshiba laptop and I'm getting a new computer. Kind of on a short budget though.. I was just wondering if this video card would be good enough.

it will just about run, thats a video encoding card, not a gaming card. I'd go for the 8600GT

like matt said, thats not really for gaming, its more for watching movies and stuff. depending on how far graphics you want, 8600gt is a really good card, especially for the price

If you wanted something cheaper, the 7600GT will run CSS too

If you want a dirt cheap card that can run CS:S just fine then get the ATI Radeon X1650 Pro, I can only recommend it for that, dont get it if you play to run any modern day games at decent quality

In the end, I managed to get some money from my parents for an early birthday present. So I managed to buy the 8600gt.
