Pulse VU 2 Application
« on: February 25, 2008, 12:43:15 PM »
Right, i want to mod my room! :dribble:

Thats what i am going to be modding, but im gonna need some help from you guys.

Im probably going to be using a Pulse VU 2, so i need a little help.

1. The Pulse VU 2 has sound reactivity built in, i just need a + and - for it to use, so i was thinking of a Microphone, is there any small ones that would do the job?

2. How many LED's will the VU 2 support before it starts to dim, im looking at using at least 30, possibly 60, and multi colours (so say 200 led's)and wondering if im going to been needing a power extender(s)?

3. The VU 2 also supports turning off LED's when it looses input to a certain pad, so does Scart ports put out a voltage? Even when theyre not outputting video?

4. Im going to be using a 12V Transformer to supply power, the VU 2 takes 3 - 5V, but would it be better to use one resistor or a few in series? to try and lower failure.

This will also be my note space, so you can read my notes and comment, just make sure you qoute the section!
