I know every one said it was impossible, but I am here to say it is happening now.
Lets test the cfw drive limit....
I'll try to group all the info together here.
It takes 3 parts to build. plus your hdd of choice.

1 photofast microsd card adapter.

3 any usb sata adapter. If you want to internalize you will need usb- usata to connect a 1.8" drive. if we can even fit everything in with the hdd.

that would make the psp alot better with more storage. also if it was possilbe to play games with using the umd and play games  off a external hard drive .

Most people who have modded psp's hardly ever use their UMD drives. Why people put stuff in the umd area. It will be able to play all media including games and home brew from usb hdd.

this is sweet, i got a 30 gb 1.8 drive sittin in my  droor right now, i hope it still works.

bump for upcoming mod. Going to test my theory out.

well doomed fail on internal testing of scaled (close to exact scale) images shows no way to fit even 1.8 sshd. 
might fit inside fat with a lot of modification but when  you factor in the sata usb adapter (not pictured) , no way to fit it all. depending on how slim I could get everything if it was folded on top of itself , it might fit. 

Found this drive but limited to 64 gig which we can get there with dual 32 sd cards.

Got my Mobiadapter today. Tested small usb sata 2.5hdd. NOPE. not rohs compliant.... help?
The device did function, and gave me usb storage tested up to 16gb so far.
how to make a hdd rohs compliant?

Also tested powered external but that was a usb adapter ie multiple usb devices connected through 1 usb cable.
I will test powered ide usb 3.5" hdd later. This one might have a chance. problem dont have an ide drive lol.
