Guitar hero mod (Idea)

I was thinking about making a guitar guitar with a bunch of LEDs that are hooked up to some batterys inside the guitar hero guitar and dremel out a spot to put and on and off button, or switch. If you guys want me to, and if i can, I could make a time lapse video of me doing it. Tell me if its a good idea, and you thoughts and suggestions for what types of LEDs and resistors.

Well that would be a very simple mod. There is a ton of room inside one of those. Also you would probably be best using 3mm LEDs (maybe?)
