I think hes trying to overdo the last internal mass storage mod.. in this case i bet it would be internal and not have the usb cord sticking out of the UMD door. I personally hope that this will have the ability to store eboots, picture, sounds and videos and then find them in the XMB.

although this thread is fulled of off-topic now(starting to get a little better) so i hope it gets a better.  :drunk:

AS convenient as it would be it would be nicer if you could navigate through folders in the xmb because lets say u have like 15 homebrew apps on there and a few back up etc...  You end having to scroll up and down and wait for icons to load ALOT

I thought it wasn't just software limitations that held any one from editing the prx for the usb recognise and enter the HDD as if it was a mem stick. but the PSP Hardware is limited on the functions it can perform. I do't know much but it seams to be a far fetch unless you add some thing to allow for the PSP to be a host. I don't under estimate anyone but his is no walk in the park and thier has to be ppl that know programing as well as lots of info on HDD's and USB's.
Good luck cant wait for this to be done.

I kind of tried doing this mod by using Rockbox on the ipod. It mentioned somewhere, when i was dling it, that rockbox had usbhost functionality. But i got stuck there and have been since

i like the XMB idea.

@oggreengiant

start small and work on stuff you dont care about, the last thing you want to do is brick your psp and not know how to fix it.

I started the same way as you with ipodlinux however there is no usb support for ipod linux so I kinda got stuck there.

@ I30 i have a universal pandora battery that installs 3.71 m33 automatically (and its good cuz i brick my psp all the time, lol). What i meant was how to create the software and learn the hardware enough that u can modify it so u can add a analog stick or an extra usb port or somethin similar. I'm very familiar with how to run and install psp software, if u ever have a question in that department i might know somethin about it  :psp:

Learn to read, it was 3 posts above yours.

Also, there is no tutorial existing, stop asking for it, there is none, there is none in the non-existing 300k club, there is none on our secret hackers on steroids website, it. does. not. exist.
