problem with command prompt

hey, im trying to make the magic mem stick and im using an xp computer, but when i go to start > run and type cmd, theres an error saying "cmd is not a valid Win32 application"

what wrong?

yikes sounds like a problem with win32 which is the core of the windows os - have you installed anything that messes with the core files. you may even need to reinstall windows to fix it

im not sure but that comp must have a million viruses as far as im aware and i have diff progra,,s which may have caused it to corrupt, could i use vista, because i heard not and why?

EDIT: is there any other way to format the mem stick competely?

cuz not everything uses "CMD"

no, it doesnt work on vista, and idk any other ways to format the mem stick

might try it tommorow, kinda late here, if not ill just go internet cafe then, thanks for the replies  :tup:

EDIT: ok i typed command instead and i got in, but when i drag the format program thingy and type the name of my drive it doesnt do anything, it just goes back to saying /documen/owner something like that, so i went to my mates house and tried it and it worked but i didnt connect it through usb, but when it said it had totally formatted, the psp files were still there?

help please
