Blanked out when buying parts
« on: January 12, 2008, 01:37:50 PM »
Ok, my mind went all windows on me and it crashed when i was buying some parts to mod my wii with (the stand). They didn't have 0603 LEDs (i went to 3 different stores), so i decided to start working on my stand first. Obviously i asked the guy who was working there, but i want to know if he oversold me/lied to me or anything.

I am going to wire up a 9v battery to two LEDs. The LED's use both 3.3v. He also sold me two "68r 2w 5% CF resistor" (says on packaging) saying that i might fry up my LED's if i wasn't careful. He also told me to wire it up as series, and use  the resistors. I forget everything i learned in my electronics class and everything, so help would be appreciated, or maybe a jump start to refresh my memory before i take on the more challangeing one.

God i feel retarded =( I go in knowing what to get and when the guy speaks to me i forget =(

edit:
alright so i figured out i have a total resistance of 136 ohms, would i be able to get away with that?
