Do you have a laptop, newer laptops dont have that. DVI is for a monitor.

The serial port is usually green.

most new computers will not have serial ports. we had to get usb to serial converters for school because our PLC's need serial so we can program them

under the parralel port (commonly know as the printer port)

Its about half the size of the printer port and greenish with 9 pins.
