One Honda VT250. One long, semi-empty stretch of road, about an hours ride away from civilisation. 100mph spill. Every panel of plastic, from the nose cone to the seat fairing, was ripped in half. The mounting points for most of the panels, both on the bike and on the panels, were smashed. Solution? Graft an '89 ZXR400 fairing onto the back, a 95 VTR250 tank in the middle, and a streetfighter headlight to the front. New forks, clipons, mudguard to complete the look. Engine repainted matt black, all bodywork to be painted gloss black with a few select red highlights. Getting the Phoenix logo, a la

on the sides of the tank in fading red, some short (try 35cm) cans, and general fixups. Pics of the repainted engine tomorrow, can't wait to show you!

I finished painting the engine today, but the excessive heat (30 degrees, methinks) has caused the masking tape to stick to the frame really, really, inexplicably well. I'm either going to waterblast it off, or use meths. Pictures tomorrow, deal?

Well, I just removed 90% of the masking tape, put the pipe and wire brackets back onto the engine, put the manifold back onto the engine (cracking my forward flange while I'm at it), and put the tank and tailpiece back on. I'm gonna be getting a sheet of plastic to cover the rear seat, with some Dzus fasteners on it so I can rip it off whenever needed, and I'll probably be doing the same on the seat. By the way, all of my brackets and all of my customisations are using a 4mm allen key head, and a 10mm nut. So, with two tools on my bike, I can effectively strip and reassemble it wherever I want!

Do it, motorcycles are amazing. I got the first pipe fitted, it looks freakin' mean. No clue how it sounds, but once the second is fitted and I get some fuel in the tank, I'll go for a spin and see how it's running. It's almost done, hurrah!

Just a little video camera, a mate is helping me out. That's a Keeway Speed 150, a Chinese Honda 145 knockoff. Bloody good bike though, and very very pretty.

It's amazingly cheap, too. $3000 NZ for a brand new one. That's equivalent to a 20 year old, flogged out old bike.

but if u could drive that motorcycle that has the viper engine in it with the sissors sterring WITH the drive train in(they only made one with that and took it out)
