different use of dual numb
« on: January 01, 2008, 08:05:06 PM »
Well I've had the Analog controller for the PS1 since it came out.. and the PS1 since it came out ^^ (and a ps1  :censored: = Please refrain from mentioning these devices on acidmods since before they played different regions in color :) )
so i really want dual numb stick on my PSP. And since we learn soldering at school and i have a lot of spare time in the class room, i guess ill try it out. But i have some questions that i would like to ask before i do:
  • From what i can understand the second numb is linked to the X [] /\ and O.
I'm guessing it would be the same procedure to link it to the directional buttons?
    • What are the items i would have to purchase (excluding the PCB that i can acid myself)
I would like it to look original :)
    • The newest method (the one that is explained in the TUT here) all under the faceplate? just like the original numbstick?
or els i think i will wait for a new method
    • Do i need to remove the charging plug to install this?
If so is it possible to install a new smaller charger plug whit out the two extra pins(hence making it smaller)

I hope im not asking to stupid questions now.. but i have tried the search engine [/list]

      1. ?, are you trying to wire the d-pad? or are you trying to wire X [] /\ and O?
      2. you have to buy another analog nub to assemble the razor with.
      3. T3h_0v3rl0rd's method is the most recent.   https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=12678.0
      4. Yes
      5. Yes, you can move the plug to a different location in the psp and take off the two plugs (they're for charging stations and since you have to move the plug anyways I doubt any charging station will work with the psp anymore.

      hope that helps.
btw use a better online translator.

okay i almost got this clear now, this sounds easier than expected ^^

i would rather wire it to the directional d-pad

and T3h_0v3rl0rd's method with original Sony numb stick will fit under the faceplate? nice.. (i like it to look authentic and original, but better than everyone els that lives local)

is it the plug it self whom is in the way, or the whole PBC it sits on? could i solder a replacement whit out support for the charging station to the same place? i dont really need it since im soldiering the usb charger mod next week anyway.... but its nice to have, and nice to have in the same place to, so it looks authentic :) (just a preference not really a necessity)

my last question would be hard for me to search for (because i don't know the English name for it).
Where can i find the a2d drawing i would print to a clear paper for the lighting of the print card, before etching :/
i believe it's called a flag, but I'm not sure.. THIS would be the kind of drawing i am looking for (only my link is for a serial interface for the commodore 64)

hope you guys understand... i learn this in school, and my teachers talk Norwegian :(
and my English teacher told me that gender was synonym to genre, so listening to her does more harm than it does good (the worst part is that  the other students I'm my class believe her in statements like that and swears by it)

well a new question popped in my mind...
the a2d board works with theoverloard aka edhel's tut found here right? same procedure?
and about the ground.. if i don't find the ground spot on the directional d-pad, i can use the - on the USB right?

hope you guys don't mind me asking so many questions, i just don't want to ruin my psp :)

No, You need to use the razor for that.
I guess you could use the ground on the usb, but I don't know for sure.
