Camera for dsl

hey i was wondering since i seen online that you can get linux on the g4 would it be possible for the system to recognize the gba slot as a usb for to link the camera, because i have a case set to mod the camera in and it will fit board and all... just had to remove the stylus casing to do so.... any help would be appreciated

you wouldnt need hardware your would need software, as in some sort of program that would allow the ds to use the camera the way you would want
