Unless you have a pandora's battery and a magic memstick. I did that last night... Installed 3.52 M33 over 3.80 which I thought was supposed to work fine. Installation looked fine, but then I pressed X to shutdown my PSP, and waited, then turned it back on... Green light, no screen image, 10 seconds goes by, green light goes off. Yep, so I bricked my PSP by installing a lower M33 CFW. Isn't this supposed to work? I thought M33 and OE FWs were supposed to be fine if you did that. Well anyways, luckily I was able to use my sis's PSP that I downgraded and installed CFW on when she got it, to make my batt and memstick a pandora's batt and revive my PSP.

So yea... Don't try doing that I guess... :fear:

I believe that back in 3.52 M33-3 was the turning point, unsure though since I've heard little about it.

If you do, go to 1.50 first, then 3.52 m33. But why would you even want to go back?

reason is that 3.52 and below used the 1.5 IPL to load a 1.5 subset to load a 3.** XMB. but cause you dont have a 1.5 IPL you brick. so i dont recomend doing that at all on any of the old CFW with 3.71/3.80

3.52 M33-4 is still more stable then any of the newer custom firmwares. My personal testing and the tests done by others confirm this, though it seems unlikely that any of it matters since DA is unlikely to ever be able to fix the problems.

I went back because the stuff in 3.80 wasn't as shiny-pretty as I thought it'd be lol. The radio was extremely slow and the stream quality was poor, there was only one visualisation added to the music player, and themes didn't wow me cause there was no LOTR theme. The main thing though, was AFKIM with PiKey didn't work anymore, and that's just not tolerable!! :fear: :sadno:
