PS2 slim help!!!

hi, there its GhoSt_Death. Today i recived a broken ps2 for free  :tup: it still works besides the fact when you put in a disk it doesn't spin or read it  :cry2:. I have a few ideas of what could be wrong please give me any info and i would be very happy  :beg:.

my ideas:

-faulty switch that detects when disk case is closed
-bad laser
-Bad motor?
-faulty or ruined flex cable

will it bring up the browser screen? if so, then I would open it up and check the switch, then check to see if you hear the motor running and the disc spin up, let us know what you find from that.

well it did open up the browser... till i went and blew a fuse :angry:
