Analog stick, drags to upper corner HELP!!!

Hey, my analog stick seems to be F'ed^ it will drag to the top left corner then get stuck. when i remove my analog stick completely it still is glued to the corner. Does anyone know whats going on with my psp i need help. 

thanks guys, turns out the connection wasn't strong enough and in order for me to fix it i had to screw the shell together.

that happend to me on one of my phats. i just soldered it directly to the mobo and that worked fine not sure if you can do this on slim tho :dntknw:

the way the analog stick works is by resistance, if it detects a resistance in one of it's 2 axis, then it will move, this can happen a couple of ways.

The silicon connector between the mother board and the analog daughter board may not be making proper connection.

The resistive traces on the analog board may be damaged.

These are the two main reasons "ghost analog" can happen, but most times replacing the silicon connector will alleviate the situation, the soft mod way of fixing this is to use joysens.prx, but the results are iffy...

P.S. Just remembered this was in the PSP Slim section, so since there isn't a silicon present in the slim, ensure the connection between the mother board and the analog daughter board are properly seated.  If that doesn't help, then you can still try the joysens.prx

rotate the analog in a clockwise direction slowly but firmly,this will self center the analog and re-align it

try opening it up and clean it thats how i solved mines :hifive:
