I think they use 608's, but don't hold me to that. You'll probably want to use somewhere around 30AWG wire.  You can get all the supplies you need from digikey http://digikey.com/. It can be tricky to find stuff on their web site, but they have pretty much everything a geek could want.

testing to come soon
The idea is PvP's, I designed it with AdamThole's version as a guideline

They use 0603 SMD LEDS, 30 gauge Kynar Wire, and buy from mouser.com/radioshack.com

just to cofirm yes they are 0603's but make sure to use a 10ohm resistor unless you want blue leds or your other leds to blow  :taunt: (happens to the best of us). Gud luck with your mod

use SMD LED's (any color as long as the pwr requirements are ok) and 30 AWG wire. or you could use any small wire, i've used the wire from phone lines and ribbon cables in other things(not mods, but electronics projects like robots). REally any small LED and wire would do. as long as it fits use it. oyu will also need a 10 ohm resistor unless you like blown leds(not needed for blue LEDS) good luck.

Seems like almost everybody is doing this. WHY?
you can't fix stupid

It takes voltage off.

If i want my waterhose to pump 1 gallon of water per 10 seconds, but it pumps 2 gallons of water per 10 seconds, then ill use something at the tip to make it smaller and make less water come out. Its same with resistor, you want 2.4 volts to come out, but the psp has a 5v point, so you need to put a resistor to reduce the voltage form 5 to 2.4
