Quick question
« on: February 23, 2008, 02:32:24 PM »
I just ripped my psp apart because i am doing the led sound mod but it says i need a LM386 and some resisiters for it, but i had this one LED laying around and i connected it to my + and - points on the speaker and it blinked on and off as the sound played which is what i need it to do, so my question is why do i need the Lm386 and resisters?

lm386 so the speakers or lights blink/sound louder/brighter.

resistor so led doesnt blow up
having a higher post count doesn't earn respect in the forums, quality posts do.

thanks,

like i said i hooked the led stright up and it works fine, so would it get hot after awhile and blow up or not, and i really didn't notice any sound differences when i hook the led up, wasn't louder or softer

hooking a led to the speakers will work, but the LM386 has proven to have better results.
