you wont need any umd in the psp so you can start games from the Memory stick

i removed my umd drive but now when i try to load an iso it gives me an error i cant read the number because ir shell trys to load instantly then it also just freezes at palm tree screen. if i open umd door and push down umd switch and launch iso it goes to black screen and freezes, when i release switch it gives me error then irshell then crash.

i believe irshell requires you have a UMD inside your psp to play any game off the memory stick.

Yeah try changing your UMD ISO Mode on the VSHmenu in your XMB to 'M33 Driver - NO UMD'

Should work
