PC formatting problem. Please help.

hi.        how do i partitian my HDD without my OS? i cannot continue my windows xp setup until HDD is partitianed.    thanks in advance. :cry2:

If your installing an OS, there will be an option, on XP discs is something like press C or K, it will say at the bottom.

yeah it says press C to create new partition. it tells me to use up and down keys to select a place to create partition on HDD but there is nothing to select.

Well then there is no free space, you must delete one of the existing partitions.

then you need to go back into your bios and check and see if your hard drive is showing up in it. You may have set the jumper wrong or forgot to plug something in

i will check bios. everything is plugged in correctly coz the computer had been used before my brother formatted my HDD using RAID utilitys low format.
