ribbon cable short

psp works but sound and power led dont work.

i rewired my trigger leds because enamel got scraped off and one led would turn on when umd door was shut. so i rewire power up and no poewr led or sound and the leds didnt work

well you are 100% right my ribon cable has a burn mark on the 3rd contact from the right i solderd to the mobo at the speaker ports that is weird how the heat travels that far without damagein any thing else (hopefully)

u sure ur leds havnt just burnt out, but most likely a short

short.... did u use resitors? when i did my power led switch i had to put a resitor in there very confusing =\
