Two quick questions
« on: March 06, 2008, 08:45:53 PM »
First, a while back I was transferring files FROM my PSP to my PC, using a friends cord (Christmas day - We where both CFW'ing our systems) and for some reason my speakers started to make this whining sound. I finished the transfer, but by then the speakers had stopped making this noise. In fact, they stopped working, period.
The same with the earphones.

Now, whenever I put in the earphones I hear a static-esque noise, like plugging it into a live jack, but no sound is emitted. Upgrading/downgrading/pandora'ing has no effect on it. I'm curious as to what part it would be. I almost want to say the AV board shorted, but then... Why would it sound as if it's a live jack?

Second, I saw a mod with these TINY LEDs. They where probably ~1mm, and 3-4mm long. I'm curious as to where I would get one of these with exception to ebay, I've had a lot of bad experiences.

Unforunately, I haven't been able to find one less then 3mm, even at Radioshack.

Thanks for the help.

Perhaps I shouldn't have been lazy.

is what I'm talking about, I saw someone use them on a sound-reactive mod on Youtube a while back.

Also, for the aforementioned solutions, what would I need to purchase? Just a new AV board or is there something else that I would need to get?

Thanks for the help, by the way.

firstly sounds like the sound board is blow/fryed theese can be replaced pretty easy if u know wat u r doing.

secondly sounds like the leds you are looking at are the basic psp modding used leds (0603 smt leds). There are plenty of tuts here showing you how to install/run them and leds are great fun to have.

Happy modding
