Odd problem...

So my sisters computer wont load any webpages or login to the installed windows messanger but it will play internet checkers.... WTF! Any one know what I can do to resolve this problem. Thanks!

how old is the computer?
all i can guess is bad drivers
and yeah reinstalling the os would be your best bet, then look for up to date drivers for everything
or buy a 300 PC and put all other problems in the past...

It had windows 2000 on it and it did the same thing before I upgraded it to xp...
