M-Labs Pick Programmer Tutorial (Flashing Hex Files)
« on: April 27, 2008, 07:31:31 PM »
When you Buy the M-Labs USB or Serial Programmer from Imagesco.com it comes with some basic hex Flashing software. You can use this Software to flash the Mirochips with out buying the expensive Pic Basic Pro software we use to design mods.

First Launch the M-Labs Application this is what you will see..

Next Select File then Open...

Locate the Hex File you downloaded from AcidMods..

Once you have loaded your hex file use the dropdown box to select the chip you are going to flash.

Finaly you have 3 options option one is the write that is the hand with the pencil use that option if you are using a clean chip. If your unsure if your chip is blank you can use the check mark to verify that icon will check the code on the chip to the code loaded or use the light bulb icon which is blank check. Finaly you can use the eraser icon to erace the chip.

This is great and easy to follow. But is there a possibility of posting an easy to follow tutorial on how to create a hex using a code provided? You provided the turbo code but it requires being made into a hex. I'm a little hung up with MPLAB as I'm new to the programming aspect. Any help?
