My first mod
« on: April 03, 2008, 01:25:45 PM »
Nothing spectacular, but basically I replaced my mobo and removed my UMD drive as well as everything inside of it. Lot lighter now. Also removed the back of my battery, so now I can hard reset easier too.

Basically, the mobo was bad, and when I got the new motherboard, the UMD drive was not compatible. Makes sense - UMD was from America, new mobo was from UK.

Thanks to MattZini for the new mobo.

I have no need to, I ripped all my games to ISOs. If I get a new game, I'll just borrow my friend's PSP and rip it to my computer again, not a big deal. Besides, I like the fact that the PSP weighs like 5lbs less.

Actually, my FFT that I ripped for some reason doesn't get past the PSP logo when I run it. Weird, all my other games work just fine :/ Either way, I have no clue what I'll put in there. I'm thinking about just getting a jewel and sticking it in there with enough LEDs to make blind people see, then go blind again.

Shame that they aren't making any more jewels though.

Also, just thought about this: UMD drive might be bad. I dunno, I heard tickings when I first put a game in, and after that nothing. Worked with my previous mobo though, so maybe I screwed it up with the installation. Meh.

EDIT: I deleted my game folder by accident somehow, re-adding it fixed. Sorry about the double post as well, I thought I had hit edit.
