Laptop Battery schematics
« on: April 06, 2008, 04:19:02 PM »
My friend lost her AC adapter, and HP doesn't sell any more of them. So, I was thinking of making an adapter for her. Shouldn't be that hard, but I need to know what points are what on the battery. HP Pavilion, model number of battery is:
HSTNN-UB02
I've tried looking on google, but so far it's just people selling stuff.

Also, the battery states:
For use with series PP2200 or PP2210 or HSTNN-C11C family of computer product only, so those are the model numbers of the computer I'd guess.

Also, schematics of the brick would be great, if possible. Although I have nothing on those, though perhaps it's in the same datasheet as the battery.

Thanks a lot.

boy oh boy, making your own sounds like a recipe for an explosion. why dont you juts go out and buy a generic laptop charger. it dosen't have to be a HP to work on a HP computer.

as long as you get something that will put in the same amount of voltage and the old one did your good, then you just need 2 of the same connectors (male and female)

But then there wouldn't be an explosion.
There's all the fun right there

Anyways, no, this uses a specific kind of charger, that (As far as I know) only HP makes.
http://www.shopping.hp.com/product/notebook/notebook_hp/batteries/1/accessories/DL606A%2523ABA

That is the charger. Notice the tip? I have a regular charger that would work for it, but the tip is wrong, and she doesn't have the tip so I can't splice it.

like i said, it dosnt have to be a HP charger. go to best buy with the laptop and say you need a new charger. all of the laptops in my school are HP's and over half of them are running on non HP chargers because every one has lost them.

Yea, I just said screw it and went on Ebay, found the right one and got it for like 30$, it wasn't a bad deal.
Thanks for the help though.

Why she had to take away the explosions from me I'll never know...
