a slim would be grat for the top part of the i mena only using the case to hold the screen to get rid of the humps from the battery and card side if not you can use the sapce behind teh speakers to hold an internal memory unit dude your mod has so many capabilities for improvement i mena ur just touching the water with what you weere able to acomplish

I wanted to do my own psp laptop, since I have working keyboard (CHA-10 Ericsson Chatboard lol). Its ugly and gay so I might install PS/2 keyboard converter. Converter is small so it will be good size, not sure about psp. Atm I'm gathering things (case, second faceplate, ps2 pad, chip for converting ps2 pad signal to psp, etc)

I have some questions about it.

- How long is Screen connector ?
- Do you plan to do something with LCD connector ? It should be more internal.
- Is it handy to play games when it stands?
- Do you plan to move UMD drive somewhere else?
- What about Go!Cam ?
- Is there much space to move AC adaptor, USB?
- When you put Speakers on the holes, how do you mask it ?

If your interested in doing this kind of mod then I would recommend soldering wires of the screen connected because it will make the connector longer, thinner and more flexible

Yeah, and it will be easier to add TV-out to wires not to connector. Here is LCD to VGA pinouts. I'd put VGA connector not composite/component. Why? Because it is laptop

Good idea, I'm making a Concept PSP (Different from this Laptop PSP) and I've been searching for alternative methods for the LCD Screen because all project like these are limited because of the Ribbon Cable. Do you have the link to the thread of the image?

ya great dude im going to solder the cable and make a bundle of wire to screen instead im kinda nervous but hey flux helps a lot with this i was haveing trouble repairing a torn backlight cable bought sum flux solder flowed right on to cable so i think i can do it. i was either going to leave speakers showing or put like a pice of headphone fluff over it. hopefully my sdhc adapter comes in today im excited i beed wanting to do the sd card mod for so long now i finaly have a confirmed working one on its way to my house

Love the mod..  a couple of questions though.  How are you connecting the keyboard to the PSP?  WIFI? Bluetooth (with a plug-in)? Serial? Right to the CB? Are you planning on posting the software for the keyboard, or a tut for the mod?  There are a couple of functions that I would love to use in my mod, with permission of course.

Folkloard! I'm mad at you (never in my presence say you give up, you quit this now and I'm not talking to you any more. I will make this work - with Jeans help. I talked to Jean the other day. He removed the links because of a problem with his hosting provider. I am going to host the files for him on one of my servers so the files will back up soon. Also I have the Keyboard wired correctly and to answer the question posted before, the KBD is connected with the SIO port (headphone remote). Give me time to work with this. Jean is in a different time zone so it will take a few days for us to pass emails. He takes a few days to get back to me.

That looks awsome dude. i have a couple of ideas that you may considder:

1. Map the on/off/standby to a face button mabey on the keyboard. that would be like some of the newer laptops.

2. rig it up so that the psp goes to sleep/standby mode when you close it and then back on when you opoen it.

3. mabey oyu could put an internal chotto shot/  go cam in the top screen area. that would be like the webcam on some new laptops.

adding these things alone would make it more like a real laptop.

heheh well ya i know you almost got the software up but i didnt give up i guess i never told you about my big laptop project just need some help from oldprisioner the guy who did fusa i got all the parts just need some software but im building a new one like this it will basicly be tha same just a lil cleaner i soldered the conections on the lcd and extended them just waiting on the keyboard to be done. I only said eww because i hate this model and I DONT GIVE UP I IMPROVE
