PS2 slim inside PS1

I've got a buddy who for various reasons needs a ps2 inside of a ps1. I've started the process, but am running into a few difficulties. Does anyone know of somewhere where I could get ribbon wire extension for the optical drive? As the PS2 slim is fliptop, it's mounted onto the board offcenter, and I need tro move it to the center for the ps1 disk tray to line up, and the current ribbon wire isn't long enough to move it there. So, any help would be appreciated, aswell as if anyone knows of any other problems I may encounter. I'll post some pictures later.

You won't be able to find an extender, you will probably have to make one your self. You may need to remove alot of plastic in side the PS1 to get it to fit. I hope that helped you
