use smoke type of paint

(dont know if you can get it in green)

but the tamiya Model Car paint (used to paint body's from rc cars) also has some smoke paint for example: the windows so you can still see through but they are a little bit black

i dont know if it exist in green

tamiya model paint does make these kinds of paints. i dont think its the only one though. search around for transparent paint (note they made to be used over a chrome for the pearl like effect). i love it

What ever happened to good old stained glass window paint. It is available in most craft stores and comes in spray form.
Good luck :)
