I'm not sure about the 9800's but I think it is the same. Only get a 9800 if your getting two of them and running them in SLI because a top of the line 8800 can beat most of the 9800 models. Oh and the top 9800 card is the 9800 GX2, which are really expensive but are really good, Much better than an 8800 (30 to 50% better)

9800 GTX, More powerful than an 8800 GTX, Runs DX10 far better.

But if you can, get a 9800 GX2, as thats 2 GTX's on one Card

The only waterblock for the 9800 GX2 is the Innovatek right now. You should get the Thermaltake case because they are better quality than the Aspire ones.

Don't get a 9800 GX2 if you have an SLI motherboard or 780i motherboard, SLI the 9800's and they will give you equal or better performance than one 9800GX2.

9800 GTX? Thats one of the best cards you can get today, it'll play most games maxed out on high rez moniters. But if you already have a 8800 GTX then you shouldn't get it, since it's not much of an upgrade (15% higher fps in a few games, thats about it).

And don't worry, I will post pics when I'm done. I probably won't have this done till around Christmas or so, I'ts costing me around $3500 and I need to earn all the money myself. Haha I think I'm going to buy parts as I can afford them, but then I can't change my mind...I don't know yet.

When I get a chance later I'll post a complete list of parts here in this topic,first post.

Now this is just my 2 cents, but I wouldn't buy it in parts. Think about it this way, it'll take you like 7 months before you have enough cash for the computer, there might be better parts out (around the same price) by the time you have the cash. Or maybe pricecuts will hit and you'll get a great deal on the vid card or mobo or somethin. It's your call since there may be a deal somewhere along the road thats too good to pass up or somethin, but saving up the cash and payin one lump sum is what I would do.

The Q9300 45nm quad core processor won't work on a 680i chipset. Only wolfdale 45nm dual core processors work on the 680i. I wouldn't get those liquid cooling parts because Thermaltake liquid cooling isn't that good. You should get high quality Swiftech and D-Tek parts. That 1 120mm fan radiator isnt enough for a 8800ultra and a quad core.

The Q9300 is a new 45nm quad core. On newegg it says that it support quad cores but only 65nm quad cores like the Q6600 and Q6700. I don't think that thermaltake reservoir will work because thermaltake uses 3/8 tubing and the things i selected for you use 1/2 or 7/16 tubing. Bigger tubing means better water flow which equals lower temps.

Get the 750i or 780i. They support the 45nm quad cores. You could get tubing adapters but that affects your water flow rate.

Larger the tubing, more water can flow at a time. If you put an adapter on it then you kinda screwed up the whole reason you would want large tubing. Also, just because more water is flowing faster doesn't mean better cooling, you need a radiator that can dissipate that heat as fast or faster then the water flows. It's really about what ones you like more. If you get a big radiator that can use 6 fans then you should be fine for a giant setup (you dont have that large a setup) lol, but a small one that only uses one would be good for no more then a processor. Danger Den is another good watercooling company you should look into if you havn't made up your mind about what you want.
