Ok i got 2 new HP laptops. I got one for me and one for my mom's birthday. I set my moms up fine connects to our wireless router but mine doesnt want to connect:*( any ideas on how to get it to connect easier?? i think maybe if i plug it in to my router it will connect but will it stay on. ill keep trying.. but please someone help me

try hooking it up to your internet box directly. and if it doesnt work reset your llaptop and internet and it should work

. my internet sometimes doesnt work when my router is in so yea. i have a netgear

ya, i tryied it bu didnt work reset my laptop didnt work still . but then i remembered another way im gonna try it out im gonna set up a wireless network using my pc and a usb flash drive crossing ym fingers it work's! thanks anyways.

i was on the phone with HP for an hour and 42 minutes and nothing happened i yelled at the lady. she was indian so i couldnt unsderstand her it was annoying

i dont know and then she was telling me to look up my ip address and i was like y?? she was like im tring to help sir and then i had to yelll at her i need to talk to apro but no one else was avalible

i wish it would work is a fing sweet laptop and it was only 400$!

your using vista of xp?

i have a alienware and with vista i had no WIFI and with xp i had.
or maybe update the drivers? that woked for me.

it wasnt suposded to be cheap was supposed to be like 700$ or something and i got it on sale with coupons and rebates. so thats not it . and ya i have vista home premium on it. but it really makes no sence that one of the laptops works but the ohter doesnt.

I also went up in progress i can connect but the internet pages dont show up for some reason.

I got it to WORK FULLY!!!!! im on my laptop right now yay. im not sure what the hell made i work this time but i have a laptop now. yes thanks guys for helpingme out!

$700 is also like real cheap for a laptop, thats the bargain basement end, I would never buy a laptop for under $1000, unless it was an Asus eeePC

i only need it for every day use no what im saying/. if i was gonna get a gaming pc i would get a real good one or something like that. i onyl need for small working and stuff simalair (and for internet access)

she was asking to look at your IP address to see if you were getting apipa. a 169.192.x.x or 192.168.x.x this would verify that your network card is actually trying to get an IP address. OR to see if you were getting an IP address. They have a "Tree" that they go by, they have to start at the top and work down. Next time, just say 'transfer me to the states' and youll get stateside assitance, but youll pay more by the min with stateside. Is this resolved btw?
