PSP HELP!!!
« on: May 29, 2008, 10:23:03 PM »
Ok my psp is about 2 years old and it started to mess up. It would start up and run fine but then it would start to run slow then it would crash/stop running. now it wont even start with the ac adapter but it will charge the battery and the barttry holds the charge. and now the green power light doesnt come on at all. does anybody have any idea what might be wrong or what i should doe to figure this out? oh it has sony 3.6o firmware on it if that matters

Sounds like the main oscillator crystal on the MB. The only thing that could make it gradually get slower
would be something in the crystal circuit. If you were to have access to a frequency counter you could
check it out.

Look at the area under the best magnifying glass you have and look to see if something is loose or damaged

i guess people werent or didnt read it but now it doesnt turn on so i cant enter recovery for two reasons one its sonys software i could be wrong but i dont think there is a recovery for a stock psp and two it doesnt turn on or at least it pretends to not turn on for the magnifier idea i will go through and check everything i have had caps bussed on my pc mobo same thing almost just replaced them it all worked fine ill do that though i just wanted to see if anyone has had this problem and had it fixed before..
