Dang! from my point of view it looks huge!! i cant tell, the picture and pot and stuff are too far back. can you put up a pic of it right next to a regular sized computer to give me a better perspective of the size?

Dang! from my point of view it looks huge!! i cant tell, the picture and pot and stuff are too far back. can you put up a pic of it right next to a regular sized computer to give me a better perspective of the size?

ask and ye shall receive

pic from box gods cause i have my case packed up right now there are more pics at this link http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=152256

on the side, are 4 5.25" Drive bays (2 per cover) and a 3.5" Drive Bay

you mean there are 2 5.25" drive bays on each side of the case. you can use one side or the other. making a grand total of 4 bays

where can i buy this?

i picked this up off of ebay. i would google "Lian-Li PC-V300" if your interested. they don't make it any more, but there are some people who still stock them.

okay, the Bays looked huge!

Will this case take all stock PC Compenents? I've got a PC i want recased, as the case is a little large (although, compact for a PC)

Hopefully they do but I've always been unsure and that's what stopped me from get a case like this one. They look good for Micro-ATX motherboard's and Media Center PC's

it will take a normal PSU unlike many small form factor cases, but it will not accommodate a full ATX mother board

this will be a LAN box. im sick of having to pull a full size tower out of my room and lug it to a lan pary.

it looks big in the pic but it is not in real life but hear is it compaired to a 900

i didn't pay that much. and the reason they are so hard to come across is because the don't make them any more. they have moved on to make the 350

there are a few different ways to do it, you can use a dremmel. but yes i used a jig saw. drilled the pilot hole first and cut from there. maske the plate and cut it. i still need to file the edges down there still quite rough

from the grave.

its been a wile guys, but im starting to gear up to buy parts for this project. There is a east coast lan / gaming convention im planning on taking this to in March.

this is what im looking at so far.

Motherboard.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813136055

and Processors

(1) Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037

OR

(2)Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115017

thing is this will be the first time i work with Intel or ATI ive always gone AMD in the past so any insight / input / wisdom you could contribute would be vary cool.

oh the lan event is Digital Overload incase you wanted to know.

triple post

well guys ive hit some walls.

First Wall

i went to buy my parts last week and my card was declined.:wallbash: it had expired and i was out of town so i couldn't activate my new one. i got home from my trip and went to activate it and was told i have to call my bank to do it but i have to call during business hours. so ill fix that on Monday and buy my parts.

Second Wall

i picked up a Swifech Radiator and a Danger Den Fillport

(not the actual motherboard im going to use)

and on to the wall my case is to small/radiator is to big by centimeters for the setup i had in mind.
i originally wanted to put the radiator in the front of the case but it looks like thats not going to work out.

i have the option to mount the radiator in the side of the case

but to do that i would need to perform surgery cut half of the HDD rack out and a little more than half of the drive bays (witch is going to need some work for the video card to fit) and to then fabricate a new side panel out of plexi. wouldn't be that bad and i could mount my pump on the floor of my case.

or i could return my radiator try and find a smaller one that would fit and keep my side panel (cut a design in it) and mount my pump in the part of the drive bay i wouldn't have to cut out.

im in a toss up as to what to do.

oh and i got a free APC (forgive the rats nest)

well my decision was made to day i figured out how im going to do it.

i decided to cut out one of the 2 HDD racks and to cut out the left side of the 5.3 bays (the case has the option to use both sides)
im going to make a new side panel out of acrylic that is on its way.

the side my disk drive will be on. (acrylic will be used for the window)

the radiator side mocked up with a scrap piece of acrylic

hear you can see ware i cut the HDD rack and the drive bays.

Note
the motherboard is just for mock up purposes.
