psp umd problem

Hi guys, i got a problem with my psp umd drive. It spins the disk then it doesn't load the umd. Also it having problems running programs.

try getting a new drive. then see if it does the same thing. maybe its your disk

Ok, so i changed the drive and it still does the same thing.

have you changed you backplate recently? also im assuming this is slim right?

Yeah its a slim, um i completely disassembled my psp if thats what you mean

well because many people have a common problem with the umd drive when they change the backplate to a 3rd party one, this is common on the phat though. maybe you might have the same problem that the gears arent moving freely because of part of the backplate obstructing it but as i said that was on the phat, im not sure if the slim has this problem. or check if theres like some dirt or a hair obstructing the drive from operating properly?

 I'm pretty sure the Slim's do not have the same problem as the PSP Phat's do with the backplates. You may have to look for something obstructing it though

You could try and pandora the psp's firmware again. might fix the problem. :)
