Ok, so when I removed the faceplate from my psp, it didn't really wanna come off. So when I did pull it off I notices this really small piece of plastic right above the LCD screen. It's probably as small as a 2x2 box of periods (..) It had the plastic stress mark at the bent point so when I touched it, it fell off somewhere. I shook the psp and I heard no jingling noise.  So I was wondering if this thing is really important. Would it interfere with the internal stuff?

     Thanks for your help.

The screws are going in fine and the new faceplate doesn't wiggle and such. I was just wondering if I is hazardous to my precious that's all.
