psp slim leds

hey guys i have a few questions on leds for my slim. first off i have 24 ultra bright leds from a phone mobo that broke. what i need to know about them is am i correct that white 0605 leds need 3.5v? if i am right where can i find a 3.5v soldering point on the psp mobo? also i heard about direct connetion and was wondering if it is just soldering the + of the led to the + of the speaker. thanks in advanced and please reply soon cause i'm bored and need something to work on.

well i dont know about your leds,but the white ones i stole from a cell phone worked fine for the direct connect,and the direct connect is just soldering your pos to the pos of speaker and neg to neg of the speaker it works good but you get a light glow from the leds because the speakers get a lil constant power when ever the psp is on.
