PS2 + Computer = Yay?
« on: May 26, 2008, 07:22:16 PM »
Well, I have this really really old PS2 (yup, first gen that had laser problems that would piss of any gamer). Well, since it's not being used anymore and I don't play PS2 games (at least on my crappy console), I was thinking of gutting everything out, and putting some actual computer components to have a nice little pc of my own.

I was wondering if anyone has done this. If anyone has, I was wondering if anyone can point me to some tutorial. TY

quick pointer, if you look at a computers mobo, and the size of the ps2 (phat) they dont really match up in size, so youd problly need to find a smaller mobo to fit in there

but it sounds like a good idea if you can get it to work

Yeah, I know a majority of computers are huge. I was thinking of stuffing one of those small, mini PC's into it.

Current Projects:360 controller in a ps2 controller shell, 360 controller in a n64 controller shell, custom painted 360 faceplate and controller shell,

If your looking for a motherland look for a micro ATX one, they small enough and most of them have the components already built on
