psp slim blue umd door ring

Does anyone know where to get a blue ring that's on the umd door just by itself? like the one from coolmods

I want one sooooo bad.

The easiest way would be to carefully pull your current one off with a blowdryer and then use some blue spray paint for plastic/metal to give it that nice robin's egg blue look.  This is a modding side after all, yes? Good luck.

I want it to have the metallic look and feel, and I don't want to worry about it coming off later. I go for best quality first
EDIT: Do you guys think I can just email georf (the guy who owns coolmods for those who don't know) and ask him if I can just buy the ring?

im gunna be doing a blue ring mod too. but not for 2 months. everyone will love my psp omg.. i cant wait

yeah i dont want some paint  i want the treated metal hmmmm i have a friend that works on a cnc all day i bet he could cut me a ring and then i could treat it like i do my gunsthat almost flat black blue

i dont know about stealing your idea mine was a dark blue or gunmetal not blue i was just adding to the post so it would get attention so maybe if someone knew a place that sold rings of different colors and so forth they would post a linktrust me when i say i dont want my psp to be like yours

I've been working on the red on black idea for quite awhile now, just never had the parts till now to make it. Also came up with the blue on black (not exclusivly, i'm sure lots of people have had the same idea ). Still it's a Great design, hope someone makes it (looking at you dslitemodder) , if not i'm sure i'll do it at one point.

If I can get I will do it.  I emailed georf today about the blue ring so we will just have to wait and see. I really don't want to fork over $40 just for ring.
EDIT: I just an email back from greof and he say's he can't sell them separate at this time, but they may start selling them in the future. (which sounds btw) I guess I'm going to have to paint one. does anybody know of good paint for metal?
