iphone 3G

hi, ok i dont know if this should be here on in spam and chat, so if its in the wrong place can you please move it.  anyway what i wanted to ask was that the new IPHONE 3G is releasing in 22 countries worldwide on July 11th 2008 with lots of new features obviously including 3G capability and apparently the 8GB model will be priced in the USA at only $199.

1) DOES ANY1 KNOW HOW MUCH THIS WILL COST IN THE UK?
2) and is the $199 price for the phone alone (pay as you go) or is it part of some pay monthly contract like here in the UK the iphone is like £30 = $60 then you have to pay £35 a month for 18 months on pay monthly contract with free minutes and texts.

oh and skullmaster in the other thread robin said the 8gb iphone 3G is $199 on a $60 a month 2 year minimum contract making a grand total of $1639
