looks great but you may need an amp to hear significant results. and longer wire to reach umd door.

so this is easy as just soldering a new speaker where the old one was lol
nice, i must try this
btw, can the psp support to speakers in one speaker port? like have the original and then a 2nd speaker and they both work?

hmm i did a mod like this, but i wired the big speaker directly to the small speaker so it still has the small one but i dont know why it always goes off, and i have to reopen my psp and jiggle it about to make it work again, hang on ill take some pics of my psp to show you

here is my psp, i thought the connections were shorting so i taped it up but it still goes off and then only the left speaker works ?

pics

i just resoldered it, thing is when my psp is in peices it works fine it only seems to stop working when i put it back together, which is why i thought it was a short, but i have put electrical tape on the wires and everything and i still get the same problem. i might resolder it again and make sure that the soldering is as perfect as i can get it.

lol ok i resoldered it a third time but still no luck, i did some more experimenting by unsoldering everything and making temporary solderations to test stuff. i found that the small speaker although working was taking power from the larger one, which was making the larger one quieter, i removed the smaller speaker and did what you did and it all works fine now, and it is louder!

so yeah for anyone else who wants to do this, just remove the small speaker it makes it a hell of a lot easier.

i have been doing a few mods to this psp over the past week, these are

mods:
- usb charge mod
- clear case
- large speaker

mods i want to do:
- led swap
- trigger led's
- umd led's
- internal mic
- external umd drive
- ps2 controler mod
- face button led's
- trim repaint
- bluetooth headphones

think thats them all lol

put tape atop your wires. your wires are getting grounded out by the lcd cage.

i already did i dont know what was happening i made sure they didnt touch and that they were both taped up and couldnt touch each other. look closeley at picture 2 the yellow strip all the way across is tape. i taped the wires individually, and then i taped over them but it still happened. but i changed my plan and it works now i just took the small speaker out so the wiring just goes straight to the large speaker now, but thanks anyway.
