Need an easy 5V solder point on mobo, quick
« on: June 14, 2008, 01:51:35 PM »
I'm doing a speaker mod and the solder point on the power board is tiny! I need a picture of another 5V solder point, on the mobo, that is relatively easy to solder to. Thanks!

Use a multimeter to test for 5v points, it is easier than looking for documentation

there is no 'easy' solder points on the slim. the mobo points are just as small, but here's a pic of it anyway.

you see the resistor in nico's tut? you can scratch that long trace to the right of that resister (the one that goes from the resistors to the top middle of the picture). just scratch that and solder there. works good
