dont know if this is your problem, i read somewhere that using 3rd party chargers, usb etc, the tip is too big and just messes up the socket for other chargers, the only way to test this realy is to us a docking station that charges.

Have you tried taking out your battery? Sometimes it just needs to have the connection set again

Sorry to be bumping an old thread but I am having the same problem, I have 3 PSPs only 2 of them I opened for modifications but now both of them wont charge, the third one seems to be charging fine with all 3 batteries from each PSPs.

I used a multimetre to test the voltage on the 2.5 amp it its getting 5v which i guess was normal im not an electronic expert but it gets voltage so my guess was that it works. But when test the multimetre on the battery metal plates, on the back of the PSP where you insert the battery, it does not receive any voltage. I tried on the working PSP and it receives around 2.5v - 5v.

So with all that being said could this be caused by the 2.5 amp, if so how would I go to make a sort of bridge and jumper it like it was suggested in this thread?

Hey,

Not sure if this helps, but when i did the USB Charge mod mine did the same!
Found out that the solder was sticking up slightly too much and touching the LCD cage!
If you have done this mod see if thats the case :)
Hope everything works out.

Wire is one way,

But the best way is use a condective paint pen.

Radioshack should have them,

P.S. they are expensive but way worth it.

But easy way and cheap if you have supplys is solder over the fuse.

Just put some flux over it and then solder it
