What settings in Vista[or Ubuntu] do I need to mess with to get a factory condition HP 6745C with WIN ME or Ubuntu to share my internet with my laptop? I know I can plug an ethernet cable into the ethernet ports on my laptop to the desktop, but what settings do I need? What do I need to setup on the desktop? I tried sharing it through the ethernet port properties and chose to share my wireless internet, but I lost internet access on my laptop and I didn't know what I needed to do on the desktop. Any help would be appreciated. I'm looking on how to share internet with the desktop while keeping internet on my laptop as well. Thanks for any help.
